WHEW! That was a lot...
Hello Readers! Well, things have settled down finally. We're back home after a whirlwind weekend at the LA Times Festival of Books. You could say it was...one for the books. We needed multiple days to recover. Not pictured: THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE! There were people everywhere! Over 159,000! Live music across multiple stages kept everything lively and loud. Our booth was on the main thoroughfare near the entrance, so we were constantly seeing scores of people coming hither and yon. Our neighbor booth was a children's author with a wonderful pop-up book about rock and roll legends getting lots of well-deserved attention. And then Blippi decided to do a photo op next to our booth too! He's a rock star to the under-6 crowd. We got nervous. Blippi was rolling with security! These splendid people were our first customers of the festival We were also lucky enough to be next to the poetry stage, and during slower times we were able to pop over and hear some beautiful recitations.
