Three Top Mystery Novels of 2024 (So Far)
Hello Readers!
As you know by now, our new novel is out. If you want to order it, you can grab a copy from our website, www.2authors.com, or at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or iBook.
Since our latest novel is a murder mystery, we thought for this blog we'd take a look at a few of the top best-selling mystery novels of 2024. Who knows, maybe by the end of the year we'll be on the list!
In no particular order, here are three mystery novels we recommend that are rising up the charts in 2024.
The Fury by Alex Michaelides
Former movie star Lana Farrar has become a bit of a recluse even though she's one of the most famous people in the world. Every year for Easter she invites some close friends to vacation on her private island off the coast of Greece. But these old friendships conceal resentment, hatred, and a desire for revenge. This time, the resentments explode and result in murder. What follows is a classic style locked-room mystery, with plenty of cat-and-mouse play and excellent pacing. This is a stylish crowd-pleaser that has enjoyed tremendous success, and we'd bet the movie adaptation isn't far behind.
End of Story by A. J. Finn
Finn is no stranger to best-selling lists. His previous novel, The Woman in the Window, was a NYT #1 Bestseller. He's back with a thrilling page-turner centered on a terminally ill mystery writer named Sebastian who brings in an expert in detective fiction to help him write his memoir. With only three months to live, the clock is ticking. But things get weird at the San Francisco mansion when the expert discovers a real-life mystery stranger than anything Sebastian ever wrote. Finn's novel has only been out about six weeks, but it's rapidly ascending the best-selling lists.
She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubica
NYT Bestselling author Kubica has written another gem. Previous top-notch thrillers include The Good Girl, Local Woman Missing, and Just the Nicest Couple. In She's Not Sorry, a single mother working as an ICU nurse becomes fascinated with her latest patient, a woman named Caitlin, who supposedly jumped off a bridge. But when a witness comes forward with another story, nurse Meghan gets pulled into the mystery, entangling herself with Caitlin's life--to the point of danger. This one is a new release, so look for it to take the best-seller list by storm soon.
