A Sneak-Peek at Our Next Novel

Hello there readers!

We're getting closer to publishing our next novel and decided it was time to share a little bit about the title, the story, and the main character.

Are you ready?

Here goes...

Our next novel will be called, "An Educated Death".

We're venturing into a new genre--murder mystery. We were inspired by (and have always loved) the Travis McGee novels. The 21-book series by John D. Macdonald debuted in 1964 with "The Deep Blue Good-by", featuring a hard-boiled detective who lives on a houseboat that he won in a poker game. He's a beach bum that'll help you find whatever it is you're looking for, as long as he can have half.

Our idea was to develop a character who had given up on life due to a personal tragedy but starts caring again after getting sucked into a web of corruption, fraud, and murder. When a dead body washes up and someone he loves is threatened, world-weary Justin Pierce, a special agent working for the Department of Justice, teams up with a renowned Mexican archeologist named Demetrio and reinvents himself as a modern-day Robin Hood.

Our fifth novel will have a man's POV, feature bilingual scenes, and contain plenty of humor. We're hoping to be ready to publish in the next few months. And with any luck, this will be the first in a Justin Pierce series--but probably not a 21-book series.  :)

We hope you're as excited as we are! Have you read any John D. MacDonald? Do you love those gritty old detective novels like we do?

That's all for now, until next time dear readers...
