The Return of 2authors...

Hello, we're back!

It's been a minute. 

Did you miss us? We've been hunkered down surviving the pandemic and also working hard on our next novel (more on that in future blogs). As we emerge from our social media sabbatical, we want to re-introduce ourselves, give you a rundown of our novels, and let you know how and where you can connect with us online. 

Our pen name is VD Povall, and our official description is "a man and a woman--two minds, two spirits--giving existence to works of fiction." We're a husband and wife team who have been writing together for decades but published our first novel together about five years ago. The story dealt with ghosts, psychic powers, and romance, and was successful enough for us to make it into a trilogy. After 'The Gift of the Twin Houses', we published 'Secrets of Innocence' and 'Jackal in the Mirror'. We then switched genres and published Ascension, Kelahya Unbound in 2020. The epic space opera has been getting great reviews (we'll share some here later), and we've had a blast doing book signings and appearances to promote it. One fun aspect of creating a new universe for a story is getting to create all the mythology and lore and magic that go into it. We'll re-share some of that in the coming weeks as well. 

For now, we just want you to know...we're back!

Hello Readers! We're back this week with news of an exciting development. We have locked in the cover design for our latest novel, An Educated Death . It took a little longer than expected, and we went through many different versions, but now we've settled on our book cover.  That means we can 1) share it with you, and 2) start the process of printing for publication.  Woohoo! Three Of Our Favorite Mystery Novels From 2023

Hello Readers! Great to be with you once again.  This week, we wanted to share three mystery novels from the last year that showcase authors at the top of their game. As authors with a mystery novel coming out soon, it's important to pay attention to who is at the height of the genre. Where do we want to be? What are we aiming for? Who is there now?
