August is drawing to a close, September is upon us. Kids are back in school. Life rolls along.  All is well with us. The end of summer continues to be quiet and calm, just as we like it.  Where's my hammock? However, things will be picking up in the fall. We've been asked to participate in another literary festival--not quite as huge as the LA Times Festival of Books, but it's still pretty substantial. It's called "Write On, Oceanside!" and takes place in, you guessed it, Oceanside, CA. This year Write On, Oceanside happens on October 5th.  The festival is hosted by the Oceanside Cultural Arts Association (OCAA) and Oceanside Public Library, with the goal of celebrating and inspiring local authors. Welcome to August! The Olympics have been a blast so far, hope you're enjoying them as much as we are. We've contracted a case of Olympic fever, and it's not from swimming in the Seine.  Opening ceremonies did not disappoint.  Whether you're a dressage person or a trampoline enthusiast, there's been something for everyone at these games. We've especially enjoyed cheering on Simon Biles, the GOAT. The Olympics end Sunday, so if you've been missing out, there's still plenty of track and field, basketball, and synchronized swimming to enjoy. Not much new with us as summer rolls on.
